I consider myself a surThriver: a southern woman living in a northern land; the only girl in a family full of boys; an articulate and social introvert; and a practical spiritualist. I never really felt like I fit in, yet I tried to – my whole life. Though I was highly successful in my 20+ year corporate career, I suffered half of those years with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia – that was a sure sign that something didn’t quite fit.
I’m now well on my path of entrepreneurship and have found health and a true purpose that fits: holding the space for the person to come forth more naturally into their work and into their service to their community. I have a special gift of teaching people soft skills and specific processes to be heard and make a bigger difference in their lives and work.
Mindful and creative-thinking people hold a special place in my practice, in part, because I am one. I understand the overwhelm and energy drain of the demands of business today and I can help them navigate it well.
I help mindful Service Entrepreneurs and Corporate Professionals Say what they need to Say, so they can Get where they want to Go, and Earn what they’re Worth. I draw forth their natural strengths so they speak from a place of conviction and connect easily with the right people. After working with me, they see their full value, find their own voice, and present themselves confidently.
My career has been service-filled: It includes restaurants, retail department store, insurance, chemicals, wellness, and pharmaceuticals. My positions have spanned management, human resources, training, operations/administration, and sales. I hold an undergraduate in Business Administration with a management emphasis – and a Master of Business Administration with a marketing specialty. I also earned a coaching certificate from Coach U and a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from HRCI, which harmonizes my practical business education with a deep understanding of human behavior.
None of that formal education, however, truly prepared me for the trials of entrepreneurship. The school of hard knocks, with a lot of trial and error mixed in, is what formed my original body of work today. I teach from my experience, the good the bad and the ugly, which brings a refreshing perspective to the business world today.
I have two beautiful felines, Princess and Baby, who allow me to live with them. You can catch regular glimpses of them on my personal Facebook page. I’m addicted to popcorn (organic, stove-popped, with butter and sea salt) and I enjoy good dark chocolate and red wine. I can be found around Northern New Jersey wherever there is dancing or acoustical music.
